Lava Launches 3G Voice-Calling Tablet At 9,499

Lava has launched a 3G voice-calling tablet at the price of 9,499. The device is named as  E-Tab Connect Z7C, and it’s the first voice enabled tablet from the company, reports Think Digit.

The tablet is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A processor and runs on 4.0 Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Under the hood it has 512MB RAM, sports 4GB of built-in storage expandable via a microSD card up to 32GB.

It comes with 7-inch screen with a WVGA (800x480 pixel) resolution, 2MP rear and 0.3 MP front camera.

Its connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0. The tablet runs on a 3000mAh battery. It comes preloaded with a bunch of apps that includes Hungama, Bigflix, Edukart and Diamond Comics to name a few. Lava had said that they would announce a tablet that would boast of 3G calling.

The device has to compete with likes of the HCL ME Y3, which boasts not only voice calling, but dual-SIM capabilities as well. The Pantel Penta T-Pad WS708C also boasts of dual-SIM capabilities and voice calling.
