Anna whips Cong, to tour country for Jan Lokpal

Ralegan Siddhi: Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare on Tuesday said that he would visit the five election-bound states as part of his campaign for the Jan Lokpal Bill.
Addressing a press conference in Ralegan Siddhi, the veteran Gandhian asserted that the time had arrived for the Jan Lokpal Bill to become a reality.
He blamed the Congress for not passing the Jan Lokpal Bill, adding that he would go to election-bound states and ask people to not vote for the party in the upcoming elections.
Anna said that he would start his campaign from Uttar Pradesh if the bill was not passed in the winter session.
He further said that he would fast for three days in Lucknow before the elections and would also ask people to vote against the Congress in Hisar bypolls if the bill was not passed.
Claiming that the government was reluctant in passing the bill, Anna said, "I will go to all five election-bound states and will tell people not to vote for this government."
He further said that other parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), had given letters of support to the bill.
However, reacting sharply to the reports of his supporting the BJP, Anna said, "People who are saying that I am supporting BJP are not mentally fit."
The Gandhian also reiterated that the members of his team would not enter politics or contest elections.
When asked about the arrest of suspended IPS officer Sanjeev Bhatt, Anna said that the Gujarat government had done wrong by sending him to jail as he had all rights to speak and file affidavit.
